Puppies
Potential puppy buyers are carefully screened by a puppy questionnaire and personally contacted. Further interest can then be discussed to determine if the breed matches a potential buyer’s lifestyle, desires and expectations in a puppy.
The first step for possibly acquiring an available puppy is a questionnaire to be completed. The questionnaire covers many topics to protect our loved puppies in order to make sure they have the best opportunity for a healthy and happy forever home.
Generally, a deposit of one third the puppy purchase price is required to be placed on a litter waiting list. This amount is held until the litter is whelped. The final payment is to be completed prior to contract signing and release of a puppy. Puppies are homed at approximately eight weeks of age. As the Breeder, the choice of matching puppies to families is ours to determine.
Companion home puppies will be sold at/after the age of eight weeks with a 12 to 24 month spay/neuter clause in place. Altering a dog at an inappropriate age often affects more than its ability to reproduce. There can be questionable health concern as well as a possible void in the contracted health guarantee regarding altering. We do not dock tails or remove dew claws out of respect for the Wirehaired Vizsla home country Breed standard.
Puppies sold as show or breeding stock will remain co-owned with the Breeder. An additional clause regarding the above is explained in the contract.
All puppies start their new life having been examined to be healthy by a certified Veterinarian. Each puppy will be microchipped, dewormed, tested for any worm residuals and vaccinated according to age. It is our ultimate goal for our puppies to be socialized, healthy and happy when they are ready to leave for their new environments .
Each puppy will be part of an AKC registered litter; both parents being AKC registered. Paperwork for individual registration is sent home when a puppy is released. A registered name will be chosen by the Breeder for AKC registration purposes. Whatever a new owner chooses as a “call name” (what you wish to name your puppy) is the owners personal choice. Arrangement s will be discussed regarding transportation of a puppy. We are very cautious about how our puppies are transported.
As stated in our contract, if for any given reason, a buyer must forfeit a dog purchased from us we have first rights to retain the dog. It shall not be passed on to a third party.
If you feel you are a good fit for a puppy, please contact us for a questionnaire.
